Post-operative Care Failures
Care rendered to a patient following surgery is called "post- operative care." Post-operative care commences at the moment the patient leaves the operating room, through the recovery room admission and after discharge from the hospital with ongoing follow up visits. Departures from medical standards in a patient's post operative care can result in an unnecessary injury and/or death.
